Delmege Group felicitates staff The Delmege Group recently honoured and celebrated the exceptional performance and dedicated service of its staff at the Chairman’s Trophy Awards ceremony. Speaking at the ceremony, Director Delmege Group, Shamil Mendis said that the Chairman’s Trophy recognition scheme was formulated to recognise the outstanding contribution made by their staff members. The Delmege Group whose history spans 155 years has diversified, seen significant growth and established its image in Sri Lanka as a leading and highly respected corporate entity. “We are performing extremely well in our businesses and the main contributing factor has been our staff and we are here today to give you the recognition you deserve as well as encourage the rising stars amongst you,” he said. Long service awards, awards of recognition for outstanding service in their particular sectors, as well as the coveted Chairman’s Trophy were given out at the event. This recognition event will take place annually after the end of the financial year, and will be based on performance during that financial year. Mendis stressed the fact that the company's code of conduct, which incorporated integrity, outstanding customer service, team work, commitment and building relationships were key factors which had contributed towards the growth and success of the Delmege Group. "Our vision is to be the leader in whatever
business or industry in which we are engaged. We will achieve this
by strategic investment into carefully identified areas of business
and, by further growth, becoming more efficient, effective in what
we do to be a dominant force in our existing lines of business,
while customer service has been and will be of paramount importance.
You are the key to making it happen,” he said at the conclusion
of the awards, which culminated in the Chairman's Trophy being given
to Anton Paul of Delmege Distributors (Pvt) Ltd.
