Ratwatte bribery case on fast track
The case against former Deputy Defence Minister Anurudda Ratwatte who was indicted in the Colombo High Court on bribery charges will be taken up on continuous days from February 6 onwards.

Mr. Ratwatte was served indictment on Friday after the Bribery Commission concluded it was not satisfied with his explanation as to how he earned money and property amounting to Rs. 55 million while he was a minister between 1995 and 2001. He was released on Rs. 5 million personal bail by Colombo High Court Judge, Upali Abeyratne.Rienzi Arsekularatne and Wasantha Batagoda appeared for Mr. Ratwatte.
