Confifi Chefs excel at the Culinary Art Exhibition
Confifi Group team bagged 46 medals including seven gold medals, fourteen silver medals and twenty five bronze medals at the recently concluded “Culinary Art 2003” exhibition held at the BMICH.

This event, organized bi-annually by the Chef’s Guild of Sri Lanka attracted over 1,300 entries from all classes of hotels and catering establishments throughout Sri Lanka and was judged by a multinational team of expert chefs.

S.A.Pushpakumara of Eden Resort & Spa and Neomal Udayanga of Club Palm Garden won two gold medals each while Sanjeewa Silva of Eden Resort & Spa, R.A. Sisira Kumara of Riverina Hotel and Channa Thabrew of Club Palm Garden were also awarded Gold medals. The Confifi Team had medal winners in every category of the competition.

Confifi Group Hotels comprise of Eden Resort & Spa, Riverina Hotel, Club Palm Garden and Confifi Beach Hotels in Beruwela. They also manage Royal Park in Dhaka, Bangladesh.


‘Gold & Blue Fiesta 2003’ in Nittawela
‘Gold & Blue Fiesta 2003’, a funfare organised by the Vidyartha College OBA will come alive at the Nittawela College Ground from August 2 to 11. Popular bands and singers are billed to be featured at the daily musical shows at the Fiesta.


Two awards for Hotel Sapphire
Hotel Sapphire Won Two awards at the 10th Culinary Art 2003 organized by the Chef’s Guild last month. Two Bronze Medals were won by Hotel Sapphire are for the Best Individual Ice Carving by R.A. Papalie and Sri Lankan Meal by S. Abeyratne and A.P. Nandana Adikari.


Go Italian at JAIC Hilton

Not forgetting.... Asian BBQ’s & Seafood every Saturday night. An array of succulent seafood and a fabulous assortment of raw meats and vegetables tenderly marinated Japanese Teppan, Mongolian, Korean and spicy Sri Lankan style.

Deva De Silva and his medley of popular tunes will be in action at the UBG on Saturday nights for BBQ
