Classical Music Festival
The fourth in a series of Classical Music Festivals being presented by 'Tamasha' (music Company) for the benefit of local classical music enthusiasts is scheduled to be held at the Lionel Wendt Theatre at 7.00 p.m. on February 21.
'Classical Music Festival 2003' will feature Prof. Ashok Goswami, a renowned violinist from India and several accomplished local artistes.

'While there is somewhat of a resurgence in art and music in the country today, private sector participation in the promotion of fine arts has been lacking. In that context, the contribution that "Tamasha" could make in the promotion of fine arts in general and classical oriental music in particular could be significant", said Tamasha Chairman Chitral Pandita.

"Tamasha" has been set up as a company on a concept of its Chairman and Chief Executive Chitral Pandita. The members of the Board consist of those who have themselves studied classical music.

The Board comprises Chitral Pandita (Chairman), Upula Madushanka, Yatna Perera and Rohita Senanayake.
