Eliza Rose and Interplanetary Criminal top the UK singles chart

Eliza Rose and Interplanetary Criminal have topped the UK singles chart with ‘B.O.T.A (Baddest Of Them All)’. The song is the 1400th No:1 song in the UK singles chart’s history which was first published in November 1952. Eliza Rose is the first female DJ to top the UK singles chart since Sonique in 2002, with the track ‘Feels So Good’. ‘B.O.T.A’ was an underground song on London’s club scene. The song was originally released in June on Eliza’s own Rosebud recordings. As it got picked up and went viral on social media, ‘B.O.T.A’ gained momentum over the summer music festivals. Warner Music picked up the track and released in August. The beat for the song was provided by the Manchester producer Interplanetary Criminal to Eliza Rose wrote the lyrics. Six weeks ago ‘B.O.T.A’ debuted on the singles chart at 95. It was delayed at the No: 2 spot for two weeks and then climbed a notch to take the pole position with 4.8 million streams this week. The song samples Lisa Lisa & The Cult Jam’s 1991 US garage classic ‘Let The Beast Hit Em’.
