View(s):‘Three Thousand Years of Longing’ is the latest fantasy film directed by George Miller starring Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba. Adapting the 1994 short story ‘The Djinn in the Nightingale’s Eye’, ‘Three Thousand Years of Longing’ had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 20, 2022, was theatrically released in Sri Lanka on Friday, Septemebre 2. Elba stars as a djinn, who is freed by a professor (Swinton) and recounts his life to her.
‘Three Thousand Years of Longing’ is now screened at LSC – Liberty by Scope Cinemas, CCC – Colombo City Center, PVR- Colombo 2, KCC – Kandy City Center and Majestic, Bambalapitiya.
