The Sri Lankan community and Europeans in France will come together to enjoy Sri Lankan music and cuisine at Cristal Surseine- Boat on Sunday, July 24 at Gala night Red Carpet event organised by two young Sri Lankans Rukshika Gamage and Malki Gamage.

Paris Gala Night red Carpet Event is organised by 2016 Sri Lanka’s Mrs. World contested Rukshika Gamage and one of the pioneer child announcers of Derana TV Malki Gamage.

“Living in Europe we are all busy and we wanted to organise an event where both Sri Lankan community and the Europeans to join together. ‘Paris Gala Night’ will be an entertainment night with an international standard. Sri Lankan cuisine for the event will be provided by ‘Sara’s Kitchen’ run by  Saranga Wijegunawardena. The musical backing for the night will be by Janaka Pradeep Perera, who is popularly known as DJ Jana and another internationally renowned DJ and a Jazz band. There will be Salsa dancers.

Hailing from a family of artistes,  Rukshika had involved in acting, dancing and modeling and in 2016 she won the Mrs. Sri Lanka title and subsequently represented the country at the Mrs. World contest at Seoul in South Korea.

On an invitation by Tracy Nguyan, director of the Miss and Mrs. Vietnam Europe contest, in 2017 she participated as a judge while in 2018 Denmark at Munkebjeg she was a panelist at ‘Miss & Mrs Vietnam Europe’.

“I can never forget Rozanne Diasz and Michael Wijesuriya who had supported me in my journey” Said Rukshika.

Malki Gamage or fondly called as Maki as a child artiste had feature in over 50 advertisements and joined Derana TV as presenter of children’s programme.

Malki works as the chief reception officer at France Hilton while involving in voluntarily work in several European organisations.

The Sunday Times is the media sponsor of ‘Paris Gala Night’.
