Cricket – the only solace and pleasure during crisis

In an era where queues are common sight in Sri Lanka, for daily essentials such as gas, milk powder, fuel and medicine, a new product joined the group — tickets for the upcoming cricket games between Sri Lanka and Australia. Cricket is known to be a stress reliever and the prime joy to all Sri Lankans, who reserved a share of their earnings to buy tickets for the games despite the ongoing economic crisis. However tickets are already sold out for the first couple of T20 matches to be played in Colombo.
