Cast is sought for ‘Maya Jaala’

Talented new actors and actresses are being sought for new film ‘Maya Jaala’, debut direction of actor Pubudu Chathuranga. A ‘Thrico’ production, the film is planned to be one of the biggest blockbusters in Sri Lankan cinema.

 Those interested in acting at whatever age limits are invited for an interview from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm on May 2 at the National Film Corporation premises at Baudhdhaloka Mawatha, Colombo.

The others in the cast are Ranjan Ramanayake, Mashi Siriwardena, Mahendra Perera, Roshan Ranwana, Giriraj Kaushyalya, Dharmapriya Dias, Isuru Lokuhettiarachchi, Janaka Ranasinghe, Jeewan Kumarathunga, Sangeetha Weeraratne, Srimal Wedisinghe, Ishan Gammudali, Janith Wickremage, Sangeeth Prabhu, Sarath Kothalawela, Dusehni Silva, Nilanthi Dias, Nandan Hetticarachhi and Pubudu himself.

The film is to be done in several languages and the some of the scenes are to be shot in India as well. Isuru Bandara and Thilini Priyamali are co-producedc ‘Maya Jaala’ for Thrico Films.

Cinematograph is to be handled by Indian cameraman Saravanan Namarajan and Dhammika Ratnayake, make up by Nalin Prematilake, art director is Eheliyagoda Somathilake and costume designing by Sanka Abeysinghe

Aimed for family audience, the 75 percent of film’s income is to be shared with psychologically affected people.
