Does KUAS offer scholarships?
KUAS is offering scholarships for international students, including full-ride scholarship with living allowance (Super KUAS-E Scholarship). This enables international students to obtain quality education in Japan with minimum worry of affordability. We are proud to announce the awarding of 10 scholarships, including Super KUAS-E to Sri Lankan students of the 2021 admission.
Can the student work in Japan upon graduation?
KUAS’s aim is for the students to have the smoothest transition possible upon graduation to work at world-renowned companies in Japan and beyond. Students can also apply for Master’s and Doctorate programme of KUAS.
How much will the tuition fees of KUAS?
Tuition and admission fees of KUAS of the first year is acount 1.65 million Japanese yen in total if a schoalship is not awarded. It is less expensive compared with most of the engineering faculties of the universities in England, Australia and US. Students can engage in part-time jobs up to 28 hours per week.

What was your first impression of KUAS?
When I entered the university, I was amazed by the clean and tidiness of the university. The people at the admission office were nice and they took me on a tour around the university. It was clear that all the facilities were brand new, and I felt so lucky to study in an environment like this.
How is the dormitory and food at KUAS?
The dormitories also brand new, clean and the facilities are perfect. They also take care of the situation of Covid-19 by checking our body temperature as we enter the dormitory by a sensor which makes me feel safe.
The food at the restaurant in KUAS is amazingly delicious. I believe any international student who likes Japanese food is definitely enjoy the food they provide us. Don’t worry if you are vegetarian! They have a special meal for you.
Have you made friends? How is social life at the university?
Yes! I have made about 7 friends who are really close to me. We have been to many beautiful places in Kyoto and Nara. I am so excited to travel more around Kyoto since it is one of the most beautiful prefectures in Japan.
We study at the library after dinner. This is a special time for me. We gain a better understanding in studies, become closer as friends; and most importantly, we get to know ourselves better.
How is the relationship with the professors at KUAS?
We have a very good relationship with the professors. Whenever I have a question all the professors answer them in a kind manner and we have a different section of professors who support us face to face or by email and based on my experience they give us quick responses and explain it very neatly and kindly too, so it is really easy for me to understand. I can confidently say that I am really satisfied with their support.
What would you like to tell potential students and candidates about the university?
that I can proudly recommend this university to potential students for a great education and a wonderful experience in Kyoto, Japan. I am glad to help you in any way possible if you come to the university!
