The Education Ministry is to receive Rs. 6,000 million from the Kuwait fund to build a new medical faculty at the University of Moratuwa. The funding will come as a concessionary loan of

Rs. 6,000 million (Rs. 6 billion) for the construction of the new medical faculty of the university.

Kuwait Ambassador Khalaf Dhhair, Kuwait Fund Director General Nedhal A-Olayan, of and Kuwait Fund East Asia, South Asia and Pacific Regional Director Yonsef Al-Bader held discussions with Education Minister Dinesh Gunawardena this week.

The representatives of the Kuwait Fund also said they hope to assist in taking 100 Sri Lankan schools to the international level.
