University of Auckland, Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and the Victoria University of Wellington in collaboration with UP Education, New Zealand and the Asian Institute of Business & Science (AIBS), a leader in transnational education in Sri Lanka as the exclusive partner, have launched the Foundation Preparation Pathway Programme (FPP) that provides students after O/L or those who have not obtained the required grades to successfully complete A/L, a smooth and guaranteed entry into these leading universities in just 10 months.

The Asian Institute of Business & Science (AIBS) commenced its journey with the primary goal of facilitating pathways in education to students in fields essential in today’s global corporate environment. In fulfilling this objective, AIBS has partnered with internationally recognized academic institutions giving both local and international students the opportunity to venture forth in areas of study with an international network and support framework guaranteeing success.

The Foundation Preparation Pathway Programme (FPP) allows students after O/L to complete the first 5 months of the Foundation Studies Programme at AIBS, the balance 5 months in New Zealand and on successful completion, transfer to the 1st year of your chosen bachelor degree programme at the University of Auckland, Victoria University of Wellington or Auckland University of Technology (AUT).

Since students after O/L cannot apply directly to commence their Foundation studies in New Zealand, the FPP provides the only fast-track pathway available for students after O/L keen in stepping into a leading New Zealand university.

With smaller classrooms that accommodate maximum up to 20 students and a highly experienced lecture panel that provides personalized attention to students, AIBS is ready to welcome students to experience the best of New Zealand’s education and make the transition to New Zealand much quicker and smoother.

AUT embraces new technologies to lead the learning of tomorrow and prepare students for the rapidly changing world of work and society.

AUT has been a university since 2000, and we are now the second largest in the country and ranked among the top 1% (251-300) of universities in the world.  It offers a contemporary university education and prepare students to be successful wherever in the world their career may take them

AUT’s three modern campuses have several award-winning buildings, created using sustainable principles and feature inviting, collaborative and functional learning areas, auditoriums and research spaces.

It also has a number of world-class facilities including one of only two motion capture studios in the country; New Zealand’s top sports science facility, AUT Millennium; and the country’s only two major radio telescopes, which are involved in projects with international research partners such as NASA and the Square Kilometre Array.

Students at AUT come from a variety of backgrounds, and are offered all the support, encouragement and inspiration needed to thrive at university. AUT offers some of the most comprehensive student services and support in New Zealand, but care and support go beyond these services – from conversations with lecturers to student clubs and campus events.
