Living with Covid-19 launched at APIIT
View(s):In the backdrop of Covid patients crossing the 18,000 mark and the number of fatalities increasing to 70, the education sector is gearing itself post the decision by the government to open schools on the 23rd November.
The Rotaract Club of Asia Pacific Institute for Technology (APIIT) launched the campaign ‘Living with Covid-19’ with the social media campaign using the top sports personalities of the school said the President Dinura Ediriweera. We must each do our part to stop the spread he said.
We are using the tried and tested two step communication model where we have the top opinion leaders like the captain of each sport who will share their key insights on the new normal behaviour required to avoid the spread of the virus said young Ediriweera.
The communication media will be the Facbook, Instagram and the studying platform of APIIT LMS. Separately it is sent viral on WhattsApp among the key lifestyle groups like APIIT Life, APIIT Resolvers Club, APIIT Inc just to name a few he opinioned.
There after we will be visiting the key outlets around the campus like Arpico, Sensal, Union Chemists, Dialog and Pizzahut where our students socialize to ensure that the MOH/ WHO protocols are being followed by the students whine they visit such places. This is the hw normal behaviour that we must demonstrate said the energetic Dinuara Ediriweera who is part of the 7150 Rotaractors in Sri Lanka who are shouldering the responsibility for a new social discipline that can make Sri Lanka manage the deadly virus that has crossed fifty million people across the world with over a million fatalities.
