Second AGM of Sri Lanka Lyricists Association held
View(s):The second Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sri Lanka Lyricists Association was held recently with the participation of both verteran and up-and-coming lyrics writers.
A special discussion was held on the copy rights of the lyricists and it was highlighted that a national standard project be implemented to work on the copy rights issue.
Memberships were awarded to the family members of the late song writers. Herbert M. Seneviratne, George Leslie Ranasinghe, Ranabanda Seneviratne, Claud de Silva, K. W. Pannananda, Aloy Gunawardhana, Cyril A. Wimalaweera, upali Dhanawalavithana, and K. D. K. Dharmawardena.
One of the joint-presidents of the association Dr. Rathna Sri Wijesinghe, Secretary George Robson de Silva and the treasurer Bandula Nanayakkarawasam presided over the event while Keerthi Pasquel.
