Eight teams in Mercantile K/O tournament

View(s): The Mercantile Hockey Association (MHA) will conduct its Knockout Tournament on September 26 and October 3 at the Astro Turf, Torrington Square.
The following eight teams in two divisions will participate in this tournament which was inaugurated in 1953.
The four teams in Division ‘A’: (contested for the ‘Hatna’ Trophy): HNB (Defending Champions) , Allianz Insurance Lanka Ltd, (2019 ‘B’ division winner), Commercial Bank PLC ‘A’ and Sampath Bank PLC.
The four teams in Division ‘B’: (contested for the MAS Holdings Trophy): Seylan Bank PLC, HSBC, Commercial Bank PLC ‘B’ and Hayleys PLC.
The tournament will end on October 3 with the third place playoff games followed by the two finals — Divisions ‘A’ and ‘B’.
