The Institute of Chemistry Ceylon (IChemC), the successor to the Chemical Society of Ceylon, has been committed to maintaining and uplifting the profession of Chemistry in Sri Lanka for over forty years.

The International Conference on “Frontiers in Chemical Technology 2020 (FCT-2020)” is an initiative of the Institute and is scheduled to be from 20-22 July 2020 at the Institute Premises in Rajagiriya.

The conference will focus on technological developments under the domains of Innovations in drug discovery and development, Modern challenges in environmental and green technology, Alternative energy sources for sustainable development, Genomics and metabolomics, Innovative strategies in chemical education, Nanotechnology for sustainable development, Engineering technology in the chemical industry, Electrochemical and sensor technology, Chemical technology in food and agro-industry and  Cosmeceutical, nutraceutical, and herbal product industry.

Through FCT-2020, the organizers hope to render support to enhance the chemical and applied industries in Sri Lanka. By joining hands with successful industrialists and multifaceted scientists the Institute hopes to provide a platform for companies to commercialize their products.
