The 2020 G.C.E. Advanced Level examination is set to be delayed by another two weeks, an Education Ministry source said. This announcement came after surveys carried out revealed that a delay in the exams is required for A/L students to better prepare for their respective papers, as school syllabuses have not been completed yet.

The Ministry also took into consideration the number of A/L students attending school this year, which is still around 40 percent of the country’s student population. The Education Times also learned that tuition classes too were in favour of the delaying the exams as they too have to complete the syllabuses and conduct revision classes.

The 2020 A/L exam is now scheduled to begin in mid-September.
