The items include 308,600 face masks, 1,600face shields, 2,400 goggles and 400 protective gowns.

The Beijing-based Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and its branches in provinces, the Amity Foundation in Nanjing came forward to assist Sri Lanka in this endeavor and several other donors sent their donations to the Sri Lankan Embassy in Beijing and also to Consulate General offices in Shanghai and Guangzhou before they were sent to Sri Lanka.

He says the Sri Lanka China Society appreciated the support given by ambassador K K Yoganaadan and his staff in this endeavour.
