The COVID-19 outbreak has halted all sports activities in Sri Lanka, as well as throughout the globe. It has been over three weeks since the sporting venues around Sri Lanka became empty and with the dry and scorching weather around the country, only birds have become frequent visitors. Here a groundsman at a well-known cricket club in Colombo makes sure that the grass is treated with water despite the virtual lockdown in sports activities, probably with hopes of seeing back sports venues come back to life and a quick and permanent end to the ongoing outbreak. – Pic by M.A. Pushpakuamra
