The US Government will provide US$ 1.3 million in funding to Sri Lanka as part of its international emergency and humanitarian assistance efforts to help combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The US State Department said in a statement yesterday that the funding would help the Sri Lankan Government prepare laboratory systems, activate case-finding and event-based surveillance, support technical experts for response and preparedness, risk communication, infection prevention and control, and more.
