Marisha, Achintha, Senuk, Malith and Aaquib adjudged Players of the Tournament
Under-17 champions -- the Bullets
Marisha Ekanayake (9), Achintha Danitha (11), Senuk Bindusara (13), Malith Lakshan (15) and Aaquib Jaleel (17) were adjudged as the player of the tournament in their respective age groups at the 13th annual mini cricket carnival of Windies Cricket Academy in Matale which was worked off at St. Thomas’ College ground Matale on September 13, 14 and 15.
The three-day event conducted by Windies CA Matale exclusively for the players of the academy saw the participation of 14 teams under 9,11, 13,15 and 17 age categories. The champions and runner up of each age group received a trophy. In addition to the player of the tournament special awards were presented to the best batsman , best bowler , best fielder, emerging player and elegant player of each age category.

The principal of St. Thomas’ College Matale Gamini Dissanayake graced the opening ceremony as the chief guest while Charaka Udupihilla SEC of Matale district cricket association was the chief guest at the presentation ceremony with K.N. Mahendra MD Baba & Island batiks Matale as the guest of honour.
