Chokolaate Centerstage 2019, returns for its 4th edition this year in search of the country’s best young talent. Soloists, duos or groups, bands, beat boxers and the latest category of beat boxing groups are all invited to audition on September 7 at the Colombo Innovation Tower from 9 am onwards.

Last year’s winners

An elite panel of judges will select the finalists who will perform at the grand finale which will be held on October 20, 2019 at the Bishop’s College Auditorium.

Last year’s winners include Shenuka Gunatilleke who sang his way to solo glory with a rendition of Josh Groban’s You Raise Me Up in last year’s competition while cousins Malithra and Oshara won the Group category. A young but extremely talented band JukeBox walked away with the top prize in the band category and the inaugural beat box champion was Allister Abeywardene, organisers said in a statement.

Established in 2006, the Chokolaate Magazine has come a long way over the last few decades.

The main objective being to create a platform that highlights the talents of the younger generation and also provides more opportunities where teenagers from all over the country are allowed to showcase their talents.
