TruSens room air purifiers launched by Thef:;llstop
View(s):A range of innovative and advanced room air purifiers from the 2019 Red Dot Design Award winning TruSens range from the US has been launched in Sri Lanka by Thef:;llstop, the country’s main specialist in fine stationery and office products from leading global brands.
Designed as an effective solution to the increasingly degrading quality of air indoors due to gas-emitting volatile organic compounds (VOCs), dust mites, pet dander, pollen and other allergens, odour, bacteria and viruses, the TruSens air purifiers help improve the health and wellness of users with a 360-degree filtration process that covers all of these pollutants and kills 99+ per cent of germs, the company said in a media release.
Initially available in three models, these air purifiers feature a built in 360-degree DuPont filtration system and functions on four levels of purification. Drawing air from all directions, a carbon or washable pre filter captures large particles such as dust and pet hair while an activated carbon filter removes certain gases and odour from the air. Next, a UV-sterilised High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter captures particulate matter as small as 0.3 microns and the UV steriliser destroys germs and odour causing microbes that can build up inside the filter, preventing the re-circulation of live germs.
The filtered air is then split into two streams through TruSen’s proprietary PureDirect Technology and redistributed comfortably and efficiently throughout the room.
“These products are extremely timely, given the increase in dust and particulate matter in the air as a result of the construction boom in the country,” Thef:;llstop Director Nadisha Sirisena said. “They are also perfect for older buildings which may have poor indoor air quality due to mould, termites and flaking plaster and paint.”
Two of the air purifier models launched come with the TruSens SensorPod™ air quality monitoring remote sensor that can be placed across the room where it detects pollutants and then communicates with the purifier, enabling it to effectively improve clean air coverage making it useful for all kinds of environments including but not limited to offices, hospital rooms, classrooms as well as households.
The purifier’s air quality indicator, designed with Air Quality Index (AID) technology displays the SensorPod readings in red, yellow or blue denoting bad, moderate and good air, respectively. TruSens air purifiers are ENERGY STAR certified, meaning that they conform to the US government ratings for efficient and environmentally-friendly consumption of power, the release said.
The purifiers are available in both grey and white in small, medium and large sizes to accommodate user needs. The smallest Z-1000 model covers an area of 250 square feet, while the medium sized Z-2000 purifier is adequate for a 375 sq. ft. room and the largest model Z-3000 covers a 750 sq. ft. area.
