Thurstan College set up a final showdown with Ananda College when they cruised to a massive 53-0 win over Prince of Wales College in the Premier Trophy Inter-Schools Knock-Out Rugby Tournament second semi-final encounter played at the Royal College Sports Complex in Reid Avenue yesterday.

The Thurstanites went on to build up a commanding 23-0 lead at half time and collected their points from four goals, two tries and five penalties. Thurstan went into a 13-0 lead inside the first 10 minutes of play and they managed to further extend the lead with their second try of the match after 30 minutes of play.

The second half turned out to be a one-sided contest as Thurstan added more misery on their opponents with a feast of tries which completely outplayed their opponents. Thurstan will now take on Ananda College in next week’s Premier Trophy final at the same venue.
