Ed Sheeran’s latest release “Beautiful People’ highest entry on the UK singles chart

Ed Sheeran’s newest release ‘Beautiful People’ was the highest entry on the UK singles chart as it debuted at No:3. The song is the third release from Sheeran’s forthcoming album ‘No: 6 Collaborations Project’. ‘Beautiful People’ features vocals by the US artist Khalid Robinson who is credited by the stage name Khalid. The song entered the chart while Sheeran’s duet ‘I Just Don’t Care’ with Justin Bieber, continued to reign supreme for an eighth  consecutive week at No: 1. It deprived the popular Latin track ‘Senorita’ by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello from taking the top spot. There are indications ‘Senorita’ will be the winner next week.

The singer Stevie Wonder 69 announced on July 6 while playing at the Summertime Ball in London’s Hyde Park that he will be taking a break as he will undergo a kidney transplant in September.

Rodger Daltrey the leader of the legendary rock band ‘The Who’ has said in the next five years his voice will go. The 75 year old performer had earlier admitted he was going deaf and had started lip reading.

Glastonbury  performers donate outfits to Oxfam

Several artists who performed at the Glastonbury music festival last month have donated the outfits they wore to the charity Oxfam. Kylie Minogue, Billie Eillish, Robert Smith of the Cure, Johnny Marr, Sheryl Crow, Lewis Capaldi and Gabrielle Aplin were some of the musicians do gave away their outfits which will be auctioned online during the charity’s Second-Hand September Campaign.

Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson reunited to perform the duet ‘Lost Inside You’ for the first time in 43 years on 7th July at the Summertime Ball in London’s Hyde Park. The duo had first recorded the song back in 1976 for the musical version of A Star Is Born. A remade in 2018 starred Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

 

Sigala back on the UK singles top 10 chart

Sigala the English DJ and record producer is back on the UK singles top 10 chart at No: 9 with ‘Wish You Well’ with vocal support from fellow English singer Becky Hill. The house pop track with its cascading synths climbed from 11, during a six week journey which began at 39. The song is the seventh top 10 for Sigala and third top 10 for Becky Hill.
