A 12-member Buddhist delegation from Singapore led by Roy Phay arrived in Sri Lanka on June 5. Their visit to Sri Lanka is based on the advice given by Ven. Thapovanaye Mithabhani Thero, a well-respected Buddhist prelate in the Singaporean Buddhist Society. This group during their tour will visit Anuradhapura, Kandy and Adam’s Peak. They will depart Sri Lanka on June 13. Their tour in Sri Lanka is being coordinated and handled by Lanka Sportreizen, the travel company said.

Mr. Phay said: “We are very happy to visit Sri Lanka at this difficult time. We had faith in Ven. Mithabhani Thero’s words that Sri Lanka is safe to travel. We are eagerly looking forward to not only having an enjoyable tour but upon our return to Singapore to spread the word that Sri Lanka is safe for travel by any foreigner.”
