Gateway College Colombo continued its winning streak in Netball by winning the Under-16 and emerging runners-up in the Under-14 age categories at the International Schools’ Netball Championships. They overcame Gateway College Kandy, to be the Under-16 champions and lost marginally to Lyceum International School, Wattala at the Under-14 final.

In the Under-16 championship, Gateway College Colombo, was unbeaten throughout the tournament and won most of their games with considerable margins. During their first round games, they beat Regent International School 15-0. In the quarter-final Gateway beat the British School of Colombo 12-2. In the semi-final, they overcame Royal Institute 10-2 and won the final beating Gateway College Kandy 11-8. Shenell Yahathugoda was crowned as the Netball Queen and Shana Carnie was named the Best Center Court Player of the tournament.

In Under-14 category, having beaten Lyceum International School, Panadura 13-0, Colombo International School (CIS) Colombo 11-2 and OKI International School 13-1 in the preliminary round, Gateway Colombo beat St. Nicholas 12-1 at the quarter-final. In the semi-final they overcame Gateway Kandy 12-6. Onadi Samarakoon won the award of the Best Shooter in the Under-14 category.
