Ranaweera tour leader in AF Cycle Race
Suranga Ranaweera of Dehiwala Mount Lavinia Municipal Council Cycling Club finished as the tour leader at the end of the second day of the 20th Tour De Sri Lanka Air Force Cycle Race which continued from Kandy to Anuradhapura yesterday.
Ranaweera finished on top of the list with a time of six hours, 23 minutes and 23 seconds following his success in the first-stage of the event from Colombo to Kandy.
Meanwhile, Chamika Sandun Kumara of Super Wheels Cycling Club was placed second in the overall category with a time of six hours 25 minutes and 55 seconds.
Buddhika Warnakulasooriya of Air Force SC finished in third position with a time of six hours, 26 minutes and 01 second.
The competitors have so far completed a distance of 268km and today’s third and final-stage from Anuradhapura to Polonnaruwa will be 146km.
