The second edition of Lankan Isle which was launched at the Colombo International Book Fair last September is now out. The dynamic quarterly offers a refreshing and stimulating reading experience with off-the-beaten track content.

Essentially a ‘thinking person’s magazine’, Lankan Isle lends voice to all things Sri Lankan. Lankan Isle’s endeavour is to remind the people of our land and those across the seas, of what makes our island a ‘wonder’. It is also a celebration of the skilled Sri Lankan who is second to none in the world. Lankan Isle’s second edition covers a wide range of subjects including lesser known stories of Sri Lankan national figures, unsung rural talent, wildlife, architecture, inspiring youth, classical arts, diving and shipwrecks, recollections of iconic statesmen, diplomacy, sports, temple frescoes and churches, employment issues, national industries, and much more.

Co-edited by senior journalists, Chandani Kirinde and Randima Attygalle, Lankan Isle is also inclusive lending voice to often-underscored areas in the print media such as disability.

Published by R & C Associates, the magazine is printed and distributed by Sarasavi Graphics and Sarasavi Bookshop and is available at Sarasavi bookshops, VijithaYapa outlets, Makeen Bookshop, Expographic Book shops (Pelawatta and Kandy) and Barefoot.
