St. Benedict’s recorded an easy first innings win over Isipathana in the Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter concluded at Kotahena yesterday. St. Benedict’s in reply to Isipathana’s score of 172 helped by a knock of 65 by Kaveesha Jayatileke enabled the home side to make a score of 270.
In another match St. Thomas Matara pulled off a shocking first innings win over fancied Wesley at the Uyanwatte Stadium in Matara.
CWW Kannangara MMV Matugama and CWW Kannagara MMV Colombo recorded outright wins against Pothuwila MV Kalutara and Dehiowita National in the matches played at Matugama and Dehiowita.
