‘Sinethra’ focuses on yesteryear golden cinema

Bringing back memories ofthe golden era of Sri Lankan cinema, ‘Sinethra’, a television programme focusing on landmark cinematic ventures in the country, will be telecast every first and third Sunday at 10 am on Rupavahini channel.

The maiden programme will feature Dr. Dharmasena Pathiraja’s film ‘Bambaru Evith’, one of the revolutions in Sinhala cinema. The film’s main actress Malini Fonseka and the writer of the theme song W. Jayasiri will discuss the film with veteran film writer Gunasiri Silva. Live vocal renditions will be presented by Nadeeka Guruge and Indika Upamali.
