The Anthonians continued to make a mockery of their status as a Division two team, when they twisted the tail of the Anandians at Katugastota. A week or two ago they almost beat St. Sebastian’s – a leading division one team.

The Anthonians batted long and hard to total 175 for 9, Skipper Theeksha Gunasinghe made a spunky 68. Abeykoon, Kameel and Rukshan supported him well.

Saviru Bandara, Chamika Gunasekera and Janidu Jayawardena got among the wickets.

Kanishka Ranthilakage defied the odds in top scoring with 27.
