e-Library facilities in schools to be improved: MoE

View(s):

The e-Library facilities for schools will be improved under a new proposal to be submitted by the Ministry of Education (MoE). Under the new proposal, a separate section will be opened in each library, so that, students could have access to books scanned and available via the internet, including books recommended for reading in schools.

The support of the National Library & Documentation Services Board will be used for the scheme. The MoE intends to have this facility in rural schools as well, by offering them computer facilities. Meanwhile, facilities in Libraries of larger schools will be further improved by providing projectors, where educational films and programmes could be screened in a classroom. - DW
