Pasindu and Randi emerge Best Athletes at School Games
Sri Lanka youth medallist Pasindu Kodikara of Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala and Randi Cooray of Gateway College, Rajagiriya were named Best Athletes in the Boys’ and Girls’ category at the All-Island School Games 34th Athletics Championships which concluded at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo on Friday.
Kodikara won the Boys’ Under-20, 400 metres final with a record time of 47.54 seconds and was also selected as the Best Runner in the meet.
Cooray won the Girls’ Under-20 triple jump event with a record-breaking effort of 12.75m and was also selected as the Best Jumper in the meet.
