Commercial Credit & Finance PLC (CCF) Men’s and Women’s teams reached their respective finals in the ‘A’ Division of the 12th Mercantile Services Basketball Association conducted ‘Ram Rathnavel Memorial Knockout’ Tournament 2018, defeating MAS Holdings ‘A’ and Seylan Bank respectively, at the Henry Pedris Basketball Complex.

Leading 34-26 at halftime, CCF Men added another 24 points to finish the match 68-54 at the long whistle, while their Women pipped Seylan Bank 49-46 in a close tussle .

Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDBF) emerged champions in the Men’s ‘E’ Division in a thrilling victory over Moresand Ltd at the same venue. Moresand  trailing by 20 points at halftime, came back strongly in the 2nd half, but CDBF were too strong in the end and prevailed 61-57.

In the Men’s ‘B’ Division semifinals Kanrich Finance (Kanrich) qualified to play John Keells in the finals, when they beat Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) 56-53.

Both Men’s and Women’s ‘A’ Division semifinals will be played on May 23.
