Govt assistance to 13 more unaided Private schools
View(s):The Government intends to provide assistance to 13 more unaided Private schools, after being converted into Government-assisted Private schools, according to Education Ministry Criteria, said Cabinet Spokesman Gayantha Karunathilake. This has bee approved by the Cabinet.
He said Government provides school uniforms and textbooks to the 80 Government-approved Private schools, with 36 schools provided Government assistance to pay teachers’ salaries.
The proposal was made by Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam
