Sarath writes about his life and Lankan cinema

Well-known cinema enthusiast and campaigner Sarath Silva, the General Secretary of Film Viewers Association released a book, ‘Sinhala Cinemawai Mamai Chithrapata Sansthawai’ (The Sinhala cinema, I and Film Corporation) at the National Film Corporation premises.

Film Viewers Association played a prominent role in 1970 in establishing the National Film Corporation.

A Sarasavi publication, the first copies of the book was handed over to the NFC chairman Sithendra Senaratne.

Sarath Silva formed the Film Viewers Association in 1966 and the book contains his experiences with Sri Lankan cinema.
