Women’s Chamber seminar on International Women’s Day

The Women’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce is marking International Women’s Day 2018, with a seminar titled “Press for Progress” on Thursday, March 15 at the Hotel Galadari Colombo.

The chief guest is Michelle Simmons, General Manager -South East Asia New Markets, Microsoft Asia Pacific who will address the audience on “Press for progress with Digital Transformation in the work place”.

This will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Reeza Zarook – CEO Rukula (Pvt) Ltd with the panel comprising Eran Wickramaratne – State Minister of Finance and Mass Media, Ms. Savithri Rodrigo – leading media personality, Ms. Lakmini Wijesundara – Director/CEO IronOne Technologies and BoardPAC, and Ms. Gayani de Alwis Co-Founder/Chairperson Women in Logistics and Transport.

“Press for Progress” is the world theme for 2018 International Women’s Day.

The Women’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Sri Lanka incorporated in 1985, is a non-profit organisation of women in professions, business and management promoting and developing urban and rural women into entrepreneurial skills to better their living standards with the objective to incorporate women entrepreneurs into the main stream of business activity in the country.
