The Past Teachers Association of St. Anthony’s college, Kandy celebrated its 10th anniversary with a talent show held at the Sanoda Centre in Polgolla, on December 17 under the distinguished patronage of Rev. Fr. Stephen Abraham OSB, the former principal of the college.

The association was founded on December 21, 2007 with many aims including social upliftment and providing welfare facilities to members.
Mrs. Indrani Sivaratnam, the former deputy principal of the college and co-president of the association, said that the members share their experience and expertise in an effort to develop the college in many spheres.

Every year the association chooses an under-privileged school to provide education materials to students. Among more than 100 members of the association, there are teachers who identified and nurtured talent like Muttiah Muralidaran, Ruwan Kalpage, Rookantha Gunatilake (singer), Chandana Sooriyabandara (media person), Rohan Pallewatta (business icon), Sarath Jayamanne (Director General of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption) and other leading Antonians in many sectors.
