Sri J’pura University’s English degree orientation held

The orientation programme for the new batch of the Bachelor of Arts English (General) external degree was held recently on two consecutive days.
Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Vice Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and Prof. D. P. S. Chandrakumara, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences graced both events, the university said.
Dr. Lalith Ananda, Head of the Department of English and Linguistics, Coordinators of the External Degree and Extension Course Unit and several academics of the faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences participated in the orientation programme.
Dr. Senani Harischandra, Head of the Department of Sinhala and Mass Communication, Dr. Alexander Kapukotuwa, Head of the Department of History and Archaeology, Prof. Sunil Rathnayaka, Head of the Department of Geography and several academics from the faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences attended.
