Badminton prodigy Dilmi Dias won the highest accolade when the Convent of Our Lady of Victories in Moratuwa held its annual Colours Award Ceremony at the School Hall. Dilmi, an outstanding badminton player, who has represented the country many times and at present the Under-17 Singles champion and Doubles runner-up at the Junior National Championship, received the award for the Most Outstanding Sports Star of the school.

Masha Fernando, who has shown much promise in athletics and basketball, received the award for the Most Promising Sports Star of the school. She won the second place in the High Jump event at the All-Island Schools Games and was placed third in the Under-16 High Jump event at the Western Province Schools Games.
Ashini Fernando (Athletics and Badminton), Shevoni Gunawardena (Athletics and Badminton) Nihinsa Mendis (Badminton) and Binuri Sudusinghe (Badminton) received merit awards for their exceptional performance and also for the honour they have brought to the school.

The Awards Ceremony was further enhanced with glittering performances by the gymnasts, karatekas, dancing troupes and choir. Former Games Captain, Sajeewani Wanasekara, the present Assistant General Manager – Human Recourse of IML Ltd as the chief guest.
