St. Joseph’s College Colombo beat Asian International School (AIS) 58-53 to clinch the All-Island National Schools Under-17 Basketball Championship in the final played at the Royal College courts in Colombo.

St. Joseph’s had an unbeaten record throughout the tournament and was almost challenged by Asian International School, who led the halftime by 30-28. But the Josephians produced some brilliant moves to regain the lead and maintain it right up to full time. The winning team’s Shehan Fernando was adjudged the Best Player of the Tournament.
