Roneth Hansaja Hettiarachchi of Asian International School won the first place of the Boy’s Under-15 age group Kata 10, 9 and 8 Kyu, at the Western Province Colombo District Karate Championship.

Roneth is a dedicated athlete in karate and has proven to be a result oriented competitor according to his coach, Vijitha Nandarathnayaka. He has the potential of representing the country and expects to perform well to reach the helm in the sport. The championship, where Roneth was placed first, was organised by the Sri Lanka Karate-Do Federation and was held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium on September 24 and 25.
