It’s all about riding ponies and horses, grooming them and having fun with them. The Ceylon Riding Club opened its new premises on August 26, on a beautiful site near Kottawa, offering a range of different activities, experiences and services to establish mutual connections between horses and people.

“I grew up with horses as a young girl and wanted to offer the same opportunity to the Sri Lankan children as well,” says
Ms. Ineke Pitts, the owner of the club, who is British in origin but has resided in Sri Lanka for the past 20 years.

The ponies are considered as learning partners for beginners and excellent for the children to learn riding lessons in safety.
The club also offers pony parties, special packages for schools and children’s centres.

The Pony Club for Kids operates from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m., on Saturdays and Sundays for kids from 4 – 12 years of age. During the one hour they learn about care of the pony, riding and learning with exciting games and competitions.
