Fleetwood Mac’s world tour next year will not be a farewell for the band. Mick Fleetwood has debunked rumours saying the 18 month long tour is a continuation of the band’s commitment to music. He met up with Stevie Nicks in Italy to work on some forgotten songs which they will revamp for the tour.

Sam Smith has returned with new music as he released his new single ‘Too Good At Goodbyes’ on Friday 8th September. Earlier in the week Smith took to social media to announce the new single title. The song will herald Sam Smith’s second album soon. His last album ‘In The Lonely Hour’ spawned four top 10 UK hits including three No: 1 songs. His last single was a standalone track ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ from the James Bond film Spectre which also topped the UK chart.

Taylor Swift has smashed her way to the top of the UK singles chart with ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ (LWYMMD). Just days after breaking the global Spotify and YouTube records, LWYMMD has given the US singer her very first No: 1 song in the UK. The hit song made its way with 30,000 downloads and over 5.3 streams. The song is the debut release from the 27 year old US artist’s forthcoming album ‘Reputation’ which is due out on 8th November. Swift has co-written the LWYMMD with Jack Antonoff who is also the track producer. She has given credit the members of the UK group Right Said Fred – the brothers Fred, Richard and Christopher Fairbrass and Rob Manzoli for using the tune on the song chorus from their No: 2 hit from 1991. The song has a combination of electropop, electro-clash and dance pop in its makeup. LWYMMD is the 10th UK top 10 single since Taylor Swift the one time Country singer made her first UK top appearance in 2009.

Meanwhile in another development Taylor Swift is looking ahead to the value addition to her name and new music as she applied to trademark the merchandise such as stationery, cosmetics, toiletries, jewellery, clothing accessories, toys, and memorabilia and Christmas tree decorations with the US Patents & Trademark Office.

Ed Sheeran and Emeli Sande are performing at private homes as part of the intimate surroundings events of Sofar Sounds together with Amnesty International. Sheeran will perform at the home of Holly Branson in Washington DC in the US while Sande will be performing at house of Sam Branson in London. The charity event is aid of giving homes to refugees. Holly and Sam Branson are the children of Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson.

Madonna has moved to Portugal taking residence in the capital Lisbon. The 59 year old iconic pop star took to social media on 2nd September to confirm the move. Earlier some Portuguese media reported Madonna had taken a tax identification number. The megahit maker will be working on a film and new music as intends to conquer the world from a different vantage point.
