Acting workshops this July for young theatre enthusiasts
View(s):Biman Kasun Wimalaratne will offer young theatre enthusiasts and curious learners a chance to further their craft this July. This month’s workshops from July 17 -20, 2017 will be held at The Studio – Fine & Performing Arts Academy. Biman will be conducting acting workshops for children between 8-12 .
A trained professional actor, Biman received his education from the Actors Centre Australia, (the Centre’s patron is actor Hugh Jackman) he completed their full-time programme of two and a half years. Upon the suggestion of his teacher at the Actors Centre and the young actor’s zest for teaching, the past few months have found Biman conducting workshops for children between the ages of 6-16 as well as adults. “Acting helps both communication skills and public performances,” adds Biman who will work on all aspects of performance from physical theatre to vocal training, etc.
