Special new award at Presidential Export Awards
View(s):Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) has begun accepting applications from holding companies/conglomerates registered in Sri Lanka for a Special (Overall) Award on “Leadership Excellence in the Export Drive” in recognition of their contribution to the export development drive of the country during the year 2016.
Companies possessing management expertise, local and international reputation, business acumen and strategic leadership which have been able to guide to achieve exceptional export performance of “subsidiary/associate companies” are eligible to apply, the board said.
Export performance of all associate or subsidiary companies under one holding company/conglomerate will be taken into account in totality, even though the holding company/conglomerate is not involved in exports.
This new award “Leadership Excellence in the Export Drive” will be awarded at the Presidential Export Award presentation scheduled to be held in September 2017.
