UNP-led panel discussion on GSP+
View(s):A panel discussion featuring Minister Dr. Harsha De Silva, Economist Deshal De Mel, and industry representatives of apparel and seafood exporters association will be held on Wednesday July 12 at 5.30 pm, under the theme of “GSP+, How Real is It?”
Organized by the Young Professionals Organisation of the United National Party, the event will be held at the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute in Colombo, and also feature Secretary General of the Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF) Tuli Cooray and Spokesperson of Sri Lanka Seafood Exporters Association Col. Channa Weeratunga.
Moderated by Dinal Edirisinghe, the panel discussion aims to tackle difficult questions from the public and identify the real impact of the GSP + concession on the Sri Lankan economy. Free admission to the event will be on first come first served basis, the organisers said in a media announcement.
