The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is organising “Sri Lanka Investment and Business Conclave 2017” on May 30 to June 1 in Colombo aiming at attracting more foreign investment into Sri Lanka.

The event, which will be held under the theme “Growth through Partnerships” will focus on encouraging investments into the areas of agriculture, apparel, education, export manufacturing, export services, infrastructure, knowledge services, tourism and leisure, power and energy, telecommunications and related services, ports development, distribution of petroleum-related products such as LPG and LNG and recycling of waste.

The Ministry of Development Strategies and International Trade, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, Department of Commerce, Sri Lanka Export Development Board, Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB), International Trade Centre, Geneva, World Chambers Network, Beijing Lansing Overlook International Exhibition Co. Ltd. and JETRO Colombo are facilitating the chamber in this event.

The chamber’s inaugural business conclave held last year was a highly successful event and attracted 127 foreign participants from 25 countries.
