From the opulent vertical building, make the way to level 1 as Mövenpick Hotel Colombo unveils the Brasserie, offering the finest French cuisine in town. Grand mirrors to the spectacular muted jewel shades of the painstakingly painted walls, the Brasserie is the newest addition to the city’s five-star hotel.

Inspired by the concept of the classic French brewery, the Brasserie is led by Head Chef Dinesh Perera who has inspired Abu Dhabi as the young chef of the year 2014. Tickling the taste buds of many, Dinesh brings with him, expertise from both St. Regis and Shangri-La in the Middle East.

A business lunch that needn’t come with a credit card bill as hefty as a cheese-laden tartiflette is offered from Tuesdays to Fridays at the Brasserie with a choice of menus fit for every business lunch. Salmon fillets, poached organic eggs with wild mushroom veloutéor a well marinated tuna fish filet are regular entrees while your main course boasts the delicious Escalope de Poisson du Jour Poêlée (Pan seared fish filet), Panaché de Filets de Poissons du Marché, Poiron fondue (Sautéed fish filet on leek fondue) and the braised beef cannelloni to name a few.

Dinner at the Brasserie is a spectacular yet intimate affair. The intimacy of the venue is one of its biggest strengths and the cuisine is timeless too. The repertoire includes Francophile classics such as slow cooked chicken breast with ratatouille, plenty of foie gras, duck breast and carefully cooked steaks that never fails to impress. Traditional dishes are cooked with modern flair as the menu seeks out the best combinations to produce a creative selection of dishes with just a hint of classicism. Flavours are bold with the addition to the sense of occasion with flawless techniques executed by professional and skilled chefs.

The desserts are equally dreamy and at the Brasserie, certainly a showstopper. The selection of cheeses on trolleys, the perfect Crème brûlée and the Valrhona bitter chocolate mousse bursting with flavoUr, adds that creative twist of french inspiration. With an impressive wine list to complement the exceptional cuisine, let the Brasserie take you on a journey to the City’s heyday – one of soothing Jazz and Hemingway capturing the France of the imagination.

Open for business lunches from 12:00 -3:00 pm and for a la carte dinners from 7:00 -11:00 pm. Call 117 450 460 for more details.
